Guideline for the Residence Permit Applicaton Process for Foreignes who rent a property in Turkey


  1. VISA- Apply for a tourist visa in your country of origin or enter to Turkey if you do not need a visa.

  2. RENT A PROPERTY - You will need  to find a rental property and sign a rental contract. (At we can assist you in finding a rental property) 

  3. TAX NUMBER -Once in Turkey you will need to obtain a Tax number from the Tax Office.

  4. HEALTH INSURANCE - You will need to obtain Turkish health insurance (Limits are set by the government and cover Turkish Hospitals) Health Insurance fees begin at 600.00 TL and go up according to type of health care package.

  5. BANK ACCOUNT- You must open a Turkish bank account and demonstrate sufficent funds (500 Dollars/ Month or 6,000.00 Dollars/ year).

  6. RESIDENCE PERMIT- Once you have the above documents in order you may apply for a residence permit

  • If a family comes does each person have to obtain all of these documents?



      Each person is required to obtain a visa, insurance, a tax number, and residence               permit. However, the head of household may have the bank account in which the other               members of the family (Ex. Mother and children under 18 yrs.) may be considered                         dependent.


     In order to be considered dependent these documents are required:

     1. Certificate of Marriage

     2. Birth Certificate of children
